What happens on first run
Three steps, about 15 minutes, on good Wi-Fi. After that you never need a connection to work.

Step 1: Laptop check
The app looks at your memory, disk space and chip, and picks the AI model that runs well on your laptop. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Step 2: Free AI download, on Wi-Fi
The app downloads that AI model for free. It is 1 to 20 GB depending on the model, so allow about 10 minutes on good Wi-Fi.

Step 3: Choose a ticket, or skip
Paste a ticket code, buy one for a flat white, or press "Skip for now". Without a ticket you can compress files up to 10 MB, free, for as long as you like.
Free mode makes no calls to our servers at all. The only download is the AI model, from Hugging Face. To update the free app, download it again from this page. With Offline lock on, nothing connects.
